There You Go Again!

We’ve composed what we hope is a rather compelling mixed-media documentary on persuasion and control in virtual worlds. It’ll be showcased at today’s event at the New York Public Library. The event will be streamed into SL, drop by if you can, it should be interesting. See below.
On November 7, 2007 at 1:00 pm SLT The USC Center on Public Diplomacy will be streaming “There You Go Again: Orwell Comes to America ,” a conference taking place at the New York Public Library on the USC Annenberg Island.
Hosted by the USC Annenberg Dean Ernest J. Wilson III, the conference focuses on the legacy of George Orwell’s 1946 essay Politics and the English Language and how things have changed for the better … or worse. Dean Wilson’s panel, entitled Solutions: The Future Political Landscape, includes broadcast journalist Charlayne Hunter-Gault, FCC commissioner Michael Copps, Talking Points Memo publisher Josh Marshall and New York Times television critic Alessandra Stanley.
